Our 300 hour Advanced Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training Course is a 24 day intensive program designed to:

Our 300 hour Advanced Vinyasa YTTC is designed to give you all the knowledge, skills and confidence to enhance and improve your yoga practice and teaching. The focus is on Vinyasa style and also to deepen the understanding on applied anatomy, alignment and adjustments. Pranayama, meditation and applied philosophy are integrated into the course.
PRE-REQUISITES
You are eligible to apply if you hold a 200 hour YTTC in any style of yoga from any YA registered yoga school. It is suggested that you must have a minimum 50 hours of teaching experience or practicing yoga for at least one year, to be able to gain the most out of this course.
PRE-READING
You will be given a list of books and yoga related information to read and watch before coming to the course. These will be counted as non-contact hours. You will receive this list along with your manual and enrolment instructions. You should endeavour to complete this reading before your course begins.

Sequencing Vinyasa yoga classes for beginners and advanced practitioners
Learning from senior and highly experienced yoga teachers
Expanding the knowledge of asanas while paying attention to key alignments and anatomical structures
Deepen your own practice as well as learning how to teach others safely
Analyzing the sequences and developing creative sequences with themes
Theoretical / practical differences between different styles
A platform to exchange experiences with teachers and fellow students on how to teach different target audiences

Anatomy classes will help you to refresh your knowledge and understand the key muscles and bones used in asana practice associated with health benefits and contraindications. The anatomy class is specifically connected to alignment and adjustment classes.
Topics covered are:
Human physical anatomy and physiology
Healthy patterns of movement
Different body systems: skeletal system, muscular system, connective tissue, nervous system, breathing and respiratory system and major joints of the body.
Understanding of yoga asanas from an anatomical perspective.
Therapeutic applications of postures and working with injuries in asanas.

Demonstration of more advanced asanas by category (standing closed-hip poses, standing open-hip poses together, forward fold, backbends, twists, inversions).
Detailed study of how to get into the asana, how to modify, teaching beginners, what body part needs to be open, what body part needs to be strengthened and stretched for each posture
Hands on adjustments with a focus on verbal and visual cues. Understanding the different types of adjustments (active / passive / resistance / partner) and developing a deeper sense of touch, pressure and body weight related to receiving and giving adjustments.

One of the significant aspects of the course is to gain confidence in teaching, sequencing and to be a good yoga teacher
Opportunities are given to teach from day one progressing from one-on-one to teaching larger groups
Guidance on how to structure a class and improve and enhance teaching skills
Opportunities to assist and adjust in asanas
Regular feedback is given about planning, structuring and guiding a class based on student requirements, safety precautions and injuries.

How to take the practice to a deeper and next level
The theory and practice of Pranayama techniques along with the practice of Bandhas
The theory and practice of Jala Neti (nasal cleansing technique)
Practice different meditation techniques (breath-based, mantra, mudra, vipassana, metta and Chakra)
Chanting of mantras and a class on yoga nidra
Different obstacles in the practice and tools to overcome them
You will have daily practice throughout the course. Personal guidance will be given with respect to pranayama and meditation.

The Yoga Philosophy section covers the following topics:
Review of Patanjali Yoga Sutras
Understanding Karma and Dharma
Historical and cultural background of Bhagavad Gita
Bhagavad Gita : A complete overview and its application to life and asana class
Learning of different perspectives through Bhagavad Gita
Emotional empowerment and emotional self-sufficiency through applied yoga philosophy
Basics of Ayurveda
There will also be interactive sessions to understand complex philosophical concepts. Group discussions are held based on issues related to yoga. Our aim is to help students apply philosophy in daily life and also conduct an enriched yogic lifestyle.

In this class, the teacher will explain how to develop:
your career as a yoga teacher
how to set up your own studio, school or a yoga retreat centre
marketing strategies
ethics in yoga business
building a network with other yoga teachers, schools, studios and retreats, among other related topics.
